We have lots of talented Musicians…



And now…



They’re all united and all geared up to set a new alliance!







A home grown immense affinity of musicians in the city of Malabon is now in rockin’ progress! The Malabon Musicians Alliance (M.M.A) is a group of active members that has that boiling passion for music. It is a family that lets each member have their rights to share their opinions, views and suggestions for the improvement of the alliance and also to build an indestructible bond. This assemblage aims to help and support every aspiring musicians here in Malabon and also to gain respect and honor for this very alliance.



This alliance is a Non-Government Organization that is only intended to gather all of our talented fellow Malabonians to help them showcase their talents and bring back the fire that once ignite in the music scene of Malabon.



M.M.A’s over 700 members is composed of Malabon’s most talented singers, chorale, bands, composers, instrumentalists, musical scorers and the others from amateurs to professionals. The large number of members is now still continuing to grow as the allianceis helping its members to strengthen and to nurture their talents.



This one big community of musicians was founded last Oct. 2008 by the initiative of former Alamid vocalists and currently SID band’s together with other determined musicians from our city. Their bounded principles to help not only the music industry but also for the benefit of the youth and welfare of our environment aims to give each member a sense of solidarity of peace loving musicians with heart to instill perseverance and inspire them to reach each and every member in order to help the uplifting of musicians morale and continously improve our cultural heritage of music!



As to prove the groups success and progress, M.M.A started its very 1st Malabon Musicians Festival last May 9 of 2009 at the city of Malabon Ampitheater. This event surely kicked the heads of Malabon’s aspiring musicians after witnessing the great talents of Malabonian musicians who excel in their respective fields together with the rising new breed of talented musicians in Malabon.



After that mind blowing spectacular event, M.M.A continues to produce and present more exciting events like Basurock (Rakrakan at Sayawan para sa Kalikasan!) a photo and recycable materials exhibit, as well as launching of the Barangay Ordinance; with the title name "Plastic Holiday". This event also held a contest for original rock song composition competition and a dance showdown with the theme of "Kalikasan" held last Sept 19 2009 at Plaza Conception Covered Court. And it is followed by Basurock 2! ( Alay ng M.M.A sa Mahal na Patron para sa Inang Kalikasan). After that last May 2 2010 M.M.A held its 2nd Malabon Music Festival , that showcase the music talents of Malabon and an awarding ceremony for the Music Pride of Malabon.



Truly that here in Malabon we have lots of great and talented musicians to be proud of and now its our turn to light of the torch for a better future of not just the musicians in Malabon but also of the whole Malabon city! RakenRowl!
